Jcrush is a location-based Jewish speed-dating app where users can find, chat and meet up with “crushes” near them. Since its launch in January, Jcrush has acquired: 25K+ users - over 60,000 matches - over 6 million swipes

Jcrush is the ideal app for young Jewish professionals and singles, providing a way for the busy dater to make connections on the go. Users log in through their Facebook accounts, automatically creating a profile that allows them to browse the “scroll” of potential matches. Users sort potential matches by “Oy Vey,” “Maybe” or “Crush.” If a crush is mutual, the app will connect users in a private chat.

Jcrush is revolutionizing the way Jewish singles are meeting. Whether you're browsing in your city or visiting a new one, create a profile via your Facebook account and start connecting with local Jewish singles immediately.

Jcrush aims to become the most successful Jewish dating app

Today, people spend more time on their mobile devices than ever before. This is exactly why Jcrush has brought the Jewish dating experience to the mobile market.

While in its initial stage, Jcrush intends to use a targeted approach to reach out to US and Israeli users, capitalizing on the Jewish dating community. Jcrush plans to acquire as many Jewish users of all ages in all parts of the world by doing the following:

  • Target the college-aged and pre-family demographics
  • Initiate smart grassroots marketing effort to achieve viral results
  • Introduce the app on Android in the US market
  • Grow Android downloads internationally, as Android has more than half of the smart phone market overseas

As part of Jcrush’s grassroots campaign to increase downloads, we plan to:

  • Capitalize on strong relationships with nationwide Jewish organizations and college Hillels
  • Increase IT team to expand the functionality of the current version
  • Hire a PR firm to target brand placement in key online newsletters and other relevant publications and media
  • Target cities with large Jewish populations by organizing events for singles
  • Appoint brand ambassadors in colleges around the country to increase word of mouth

Monetizing the Jcrush app

The Jcrush strategy is to keep the app free until reaching an initial goal of 500,000 users. At that point, Jcrush will capitalize on its popularity by instituting a revenue model similar to WhatsApp, with a pricing structure prompting users to pay a determined amount for a set period of time.
